Remember me? I am the romanian EVS volunteer that started a blog so that YOU might see how an EVS project looks like, and maybe become a part of it sometime :). (It's pretty fun I can definitely say).
Seems I'm not doing such a great job in updating news, (which is one of my tasks for the project) but I am doing my best here.
So, here are some activities that we did lately on our project. We, as in : me Silvia and Katinka, my co-workers.
Teaching English in Primary School
We prepared some games and activities for them to make it more fun. They were really enthusiasthic about our coming there.
We learnt about fruits and vegetables and clothes, and our "artist" Silvia Dapueto has been colouring the creations all day and night, so we had also great materials :) Silvia, "ty jestes najlepsa!" (you are the best!) as polish people would say! :)
EVS Project presentation for public
For the begining of our project, we had a meeting at church where we had to have a short presentation about ourselves, out family and our culture.
The three countries we represent : Romania, Italy and Hungary, were all presenting different cultures and it was interesting for the people that were listening as the Pastor, Mariusz Socha asked them questions about the things that make the coutries well known for.
racula inspirational character, Nadia Comaneci, George Hagi and Ceausescu :)
There were many participants, the kids from the ICE club and their parents, also people who are interested in being a part of the project in the future.
After the presentation, we had some nice cake and drinks and we prepared some games for the kids.
Youth Conference in Gdynia
Since we needed a translator, it was a bit difficult, but fortunately, we had two translators that did a great job: Susan and Piotr. Thank you! :)
We enjoyed really nice music, and there were some songs that I knew also, just it was difficult to actually pronounce the polish words:)
We got to present our project to the young people giving away flyers and talking about what EVS means and how can you become a volunteer.
We also got to visit Gdansk, a beautiful city. I celebrated my Romanian Easter on the 5th of May , here. I can say it was better than i've imagined :)
And things get better, since Spring made it's way here finally! :)
