Month number four - in Action!

Polish Barbeque 

Almost 4 months had passed, and Zielona Gora brought some nice people along that I met during my stay. So, finnaly, after so much time of English classes inside with her,one of this people, Karolina,  invited us for a barbeque at her house.  We had together with us two other volunteers, Ilina, from Bulgaria and Kate, from Ireland, which are working with horses, doing hippo-therapy for kids. We had a great time playing different kinds of silly games, but also eating the famous kielbasa, the polish traditional sausages, and many kinds of cakes and salads. Yammy! Thanks Karolina! :)

Horse riding

So, because of  the nice Volunteers from Przylep, we had a chance to go horse riding, which for me was a first. It was only something I wanted to do, but my horse played really silly tricks on me,  because, as a lady He was, he didn’t really liked mosquitos, so he made some crazy moves, surprising me in such a pleasant way :) Of course, before that, to get some courage, me and Julia played a little Superman, hoping that will ease the Horse Adventure. But little Paulina, was feeling just much more brave than us, considering she's only 4 :)

                                                                        

Day Camp for ICE Kids

And, because it’s holiday, the Kids Ice Club has vacation time also, but we started a 2 weeks Day Camp with them from 8 to 19 July. 

We started doing some Awana Games with them and they seemed to like the competition.  Awana is a children’s club that is based on sport activities, and is designed for children between 6 and 14 years old, who want to develop  physical skills through sports competitions, also social and relational skills, through teamwork . I started, together with a team, Awana Valea Club in my village back home, and it’s one of over 40 clubs in Romania.

We also started doing recycling activities with the kids, and we finnaly could do some recycle things that we thought to do for a long time. But, Silvia, the Italian designer, takes all the credit for this part J

So, if you want to have some fun, we are meeting this week also from 15 to 19 at the Baptist Church in Zielona Gora!
